Presidents Message

The 2012 Gatton show is almost upon us, and planning is in the final stages.
We are looking forward to another successful show after the challenges set by the events that hit the Lockyer valley last year.

Again our hard working team of dedicated volunteers pull together a major show, lifting the standard and continually looking for ways to improve.
Shows in general are finding the going difficult with tough economic times and the costs continually increasing. It is our aim to provide the very best value for money entertainment that will please all patrons.

There is a level of pride that shines throughout all sections.
No matter what area you visit, be it the pavilions, the outdoor displays, the well organised main ring or the very exciting night programme, you can be assured the Gatton team have given their all.

Again with out the support of the Lockyer Valley Regional Council our show could not be the success it is. Congratulations to the elected councillors and our mayor Steve Jones, on behalf of our entire show team we wish all the very best for the future.
I must acknowledge our main sponsor Neil’s Parts for again supporting our show.
The Gatton Show Society cannot thank all our other sponsors both large and small enough, for their valued support.

Without our valued patrons, the show could not be the success it is, so I ask this year that everybody in the community gets behind our (Showcase of the Lockyer) for 2012.

In the main ring we will see top class horses throughout all classes that have competed and won all over the country. I am sure the standard as usual will be very high.
The show jumping section is attracting great interest, for far away, as our show is the last big hit out for all, prior to the Brisbane Ekka.

The pavilions will again be at a premium, the outside displays so far look very promising, and all other sections throughout the grounds are excited at the level of interest received.

The dairy and beef cattle sections will be at a premium, interest so far suggests quality of a very high standard will be on show.

The Friday night programme will be very exciting as always, and will thrill and excite all in attendance.

Again, on behalf of the Gatton Show Society, please come along and enjoy our 96th Gatton Show.
